I am delighted to welcome you to the website of the Constituency Labour Party (CLP) for North East Bedfordshire. I would especially like to extend a very warm welcome to all those new members who have recently joined the Labour Party. We aim to make all our members welcome, whatever shade of red you are!

As Chair of North East Beds CLP, I am determined that the local Labour Party should make a real difference to our local communities, both by actively campaigning for change and offering help wherever and whenever needed.

We are proud to have an active local branch structure with four branches – Arlesey & Stotfold, Biggleswade, North Beds and Sandy & Potton – which, prior to the current Covid-19 pandemic, met regularly. These days, with face-to-face meetings rightly prohibited, our branch meetings have had to be suspended and our monthly all-member meetings are held electronically via Zoom. Nonetheless, wherever you are in the constituency, you are never far from a friendly Labour welcome.

Anything is possible when we work together, but it will need dedication, enthusiasm and hard work, especially in these strange and uncertain times. I’m up for it though, and I hope you are too. I'm sure I will meet many of you along the way. In the meantime, please feel free to get in touch if there's anything I can help you with.

As you may already know, I am standing for election to the National Executive Committee of the Labour Party. Balloting begins on Monday 19 October and I very much hope that I can count on the support of all our local members. You can read my election address here.
