Bedfordshire Rail Access campaigners Sean McGeever, Rhiannon Meades and Julian Vaughan met with Alistair Burt MP today to discuss progress on step-free access at Biggleswade station. Sean eloquently described to Alistair the realities of a wheelchair user travelling on the railway network in Bedfordshire. Sean was born in 1995, the same year the Disability Discrimination Act came into force and said much more needs to be done. Moving forwards we have been invited to the next meeting with CBC, National Rail, Great Northern Railway and Alistair. The campaign has much work to do and we will work with people of all political shades to put pressure on the relevant parties to ensure step-free access for all across Bedfordshire.
